Technical Assistance to Support Capacity Building for Complementary Education Agency Frontline Officers – Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (Sept. – Nov., 2023)

BRI 360 provided technical support to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in building the capacity of the frontline Officers of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA) in Ghana. This assignment entailed providing training to officers of the Agency on the CEA Legislative Instrument (LI), the Policy and on the sustainable delivery of complementary education in Ghana. The training contributed to improving the skill-sets, knowledge and capacity of the officers for effective mobilisation and implementation at the local level. The process also involved the development of training materials, training and re-training and reporting.

Study on tracking and consolidating processes leading up to the 2023 Local Government Elections – for Good Governance Africa (West Africa Region) :Sept. – Dec. 2023

BRI 360 is conducting a study on tracking all processes leading up to the 2023 Local Government Elections (LGE) in Ghana. Key activities comprise the conduct of a comprehensive desk review of previous LGEs to inform advocacy and monitoring strategies; monitoring and reporting on the limited voter registration exercise across selected districts; the development of advocacy materials to drive interest in the upcoming elections and to organise advocacy programmes/on-site dialogue sessions in selected districts prior to the elections and to independently monitor the election process across selected areas on December 19, 2023. A comprehensive study report with all relevant statistics and data will be developed after the entire process.

Ghana Education Outcomes Project (GEOP) – Baseline Learner Assessment Study

BRI 360 provided technical support to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), an Agency under the Ministry of Education, Ghana in conducting the baseline assessment of out-of-school children (OOSC) in selected districts in Ghana as part of the Ghana Education Outcome Project (GEOP). This involved training of Master Trainers, data collection (learner assessments and key informant interviews) in 23-districts across the country at the school level and provision of technical support in data analysis and reporting.

Baseline study on the informal literacy sector in Ghana and Nigeria – Aug. – Nov. 2023

BRI 360 conducted a baseline evaluation for the mc2h Foundation (Geneva, Switzerland) on the informal literacy sector in Ghana and Nigeria. This study entailed a comprehensive desk review of the informal sector across the 2-study countries. The desk review was complemented by a minor primary data collection activity (qualitative) with key stakeholders in the sector in both countries. The findings are intended to assist the firm in entering the Ghanaian education space.
